From scattered filings to one clear signal
Insolvency records in Europe are published in dozens of formats, languages, and registries. Distress Monitor reads them, structures them, and checks them, so you get one clear answer instead of a research project.
What we actually read
Distress Monitor's data comes from official sources: national insolvency registers, court gazettes, and commercial registries across the countries we cover. We don't estimate or infer insolvency status; we read what's actually been filed.
Coverage spans 22 countries and counting, with more depth in some markets than others. See our coverage page for the full list by country.
How a filing becomes an alert
Step 1
A filing is published
A court, gazette, or registry publishes an insolvency-related filing in its own country's language and format.
Step 2
Our AI reads and structures it
Distress Monitor's AI reads the filing, extracts the relevant details, and standardizes them into one consistent format, regardless of source language or layout.
Step 3
Our team audits the results
Our team continuously audits structured records to keep accuracy high. This is AI-native insolvency intelligence with a human in the loop.
Step 4
It reaches your watchlist
If the filing concerns a company you're monitoring, you get an alert. If not, it's simply part of the searchable record.
Coverage keeps growing
We're always adding new countries. If you don't see the one you need on our coverage page, get in touch. We're expanding regularly and can tell you what's next.
What "no matching record" means
If you search a company and find no matching record, that means nothing has been published about it yet. It does not mean the company is financially healthy; it simply means there's nothing to report right now. A clean search result is not the same as a clean bill of health.
Why this matters for trust-sensitive work
Chambers of commerce, law firms, and financial institutions rely on us precisely because we don't cut corners on sourcing or overstate our own certainty. Every claim on this page is something we can show you, not just tell you.
